Last month at the 2012 Beijing auto show, via the below computer-animated video, Volkswagen introduced its new concept car that hovers just above the road. In order for this "flying car" to work, it would require a massive underground electromagnetic strip network embedded below the roads. In the simulation video, the parents of the anonymous girl who won the People’s Car project with this design, get to "test drive" this hover car by buzzing around local streets and highways of Beijing:
