The near-bankrupt City of Los Angeles announced today that it sold the iconic Hollywood sign for $650,000 to Hung Xia, Inc., a Beijing-based energy company. New Trailer for "The Flowers of War"

Here is a new trailer for the upcoming film "The Flowers of War". Based on the true story of the Japanese army's Nanking massacre in 1937 and how one American helps a group on Chinese women. This films stars Christian Bale, Paul Schneider, and Shigeo Kobayashi. It was the most expensive film produced in China and was directed by Yimou Zhang.

Hollywood's real Batman, Christian Bale, and a CNN camera crew were recently roughed up by some unidentified Chinese security guards who would not let Bale visit the blind human rights activist Chen Guangcheng who has been under house arrest for the past 15 months. Bale was in China to promote the opening of his latest film The Flowers of War. A film based on the true story of the Japanese Nanjing Massacre in 1937. This movie just opened yesterday in China and will open in the US later this month. Here is a trailer for that film:
