It is well known that Japan has always been the one country where luxury cars, DVDs, CDs, books, rock stars and fashion all die a very long and slow death. But sometimes the exact opposite happens and they do not die but instead they propagate and get even worse! For example:
And, obviously, Miss Mi, Miss Huali, and Miss Meng are very beautiful winners of a Chinese bikini contest. Of the three, my favorite is Miss Meng. But, indeed, they are all very gorgeous models and how anyone could choose just one winner is hard to imagine. In other words, they are so full of fap!
So, now we come to this year's Chimelong bikini pageant and if you watch the below video very closely, you'll notice that the contestants look and act in a very different way. Watching this video a couple of times could make one wonder if this year's lineup is "fap" or funny:
This latest wacky Japanese fashion invention called "Necomimi" comes from the nerowear company. This is a headband that receives brain transmissions and activates the pink pussycat ears to express "communication" or interest in someone or some thing:
This is somewhat reminiscent of the Aum Shinrikyo's very own invention of the Perfect Salvation Initiation Cap that would "stimulate the brain and synchronize the brain waves with those of the master." Riiight.
Last May we featured Triumph's Japanese Solar-Powered Bra which was something of a knockout, but NOW Triumph has taken it a step further with the all-new Japanese Husband Hunting Bra:

Japan's marriage rate is falling and the average age at which women get married is over 28 years, relatively late for a country in which single females were once considered over the hill at 25.
Triumph's latest novelty bra features an electronic nuptial timepiece, putting women seeking spouses literally on the clock.

Not exactly a supermodel, indeed. Its the all new HRP-4C developed by the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology in Japan and unveiled at the recent Japan Fashion Week 2009 in Tokyo. The price of this 'model' is $1.97 million! Quite an expensive entry into the Uncanny Valley:

Well, it would have been a better news report if Reuters had shown an actual woman wearing a liberating loincloth as I had hoped it would. I guess I'll believe it when (and if) I see it. Perhaps it may be time to move to Kyoto?!?!
TOKYO (Reuters) - Ladies, take your battle for the environment a little closer to your heart with a solar-powered bra that can generate enough electric energy to charge a mobile phone or an iPod.
Lingerie maker Triumph International Japan Ltd unveiled its environmentally friendly, and green colored, "Solar Power Bra" on Wednesday in Tokyo which features a solar panel worn around the stomach.
The panel requires light to generate electricity and the concept bra will not be in stores anytime soon, said Triumph spokeswoman Yoshiko Masuda, as "people usually can not go outside without wearing clothes over it."
But it does send the message of how lingerie could possibly save the planet, Masuda said, adding that the bra should not be washed or sunned on a rainy day to avoid damaging it.
Being eco-friendly is now fashionable in Japan, and the "Solar Energy Bra" follows the company's other green-themed undergarments that include a bra that turns into a reusable shopping bag and one that featured metal chopsticks to promote the use of reusable chopsticks.
"It is very comfortable and I can really feel involved in eco-friendly efforts as well," model Yuko Ishida said.
And if the gorgeous Japanese model above is what being eco-friendly is all about, well, then, of course, I will soon become a charter member of Greenpeace!
