Yesterday in New Dehli, India 26-year-old Tibetan exile Jamphel Yeshi self immolated and ran screaming for about 50 yards as a protest against the Chinese government and President Hu Jintao's upcoming visit to India. After Yeshi collapsed, other anti-China protesters put out the fire with Tibetan flags and water. He was taken to a hospital and is now in critical condition with burns over 98% of his body. Since 2009, there have been 30 similar types of self immolation protests in Tibet and Beijing. Below is a shocking NSFW/NSFL video of this incident:

Jamphel Yeshi, a Tibetan exile who set himself on fire to protest Chinese rule, died from his burns in New Delhi on Wednesday--and has now become the symbol and a martyr for Tibetan suffering. "In the early evening, more than 200 people walked through the town center waving Tibetan flags and carrying banners that proclaimed Jamphel Yeshi, who died on Wednesday, a martyr," reports The New York Times' Edward Wong in Dharamasala, India. No doubt by now you've heard all about basketball sensation Jeremy Lin. And his popularity keeps soaring with so much Linsanity going on! So far he has made the cover of Sports IllustratedTWICE (2x)! He's been on the cover of Time Asia magazine and the cover of Time magazine with the headline story "It’s Official: Linsanity Is for Real." He's an Evangelical Christian and was a leader in Harvard's Asian American Christian Fellowship. He wants to become a priest and has talked about helping out underprivileged kids in inter-city communities after his basketball career. It really seems as though Jeremy Lin just cannot do anything wrong.
Or can he?
Today we discovered the below video which has raised some serious questions about Lin and the world-renowned comedian Ask A Ninja. And, most likely, this is the most serious one: Is Jeremy Lin actually the funny, black-comic guy known as THE NINJA? Also is his real name actually "Jeremy Linja?" Watch this video closely and let us know what you think:
Other questions: Did you notice in the above thumbnail pictures that Lin's Knicks jersey is the exact same color as the background for The Ninja? Did you ever notice that The "Ask A Ninja" Ninja and Jeremy Lin have never been photographed together?

A common practice amongst Japanese folks is to make up a new contest for just about everything possible. This custom is based on the Japanese "fighting spirit" tradition and the practice of traditional martial arts through the centuries. So we decided to create a new Youtube video contest featuring a faceless Japanese Guitar Girl known as 17586063 in a very close match up against Van Halen. This challenge features both playing the hit song "Judgement Day" from the For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge album. So here they are via Youtube doubler:
North Korea's celebrity anchorwoman Lee Chun Hee aka Ri Chun-hee is calling it quits. Well known throughout the world for her devoted and emotional news casts, she is now starting to train younger anchor students. Also known as an "Anchor With An Attitude" and "Pyongyang Lady", she was interviewed by China Central Television (CCTV) in a behind the scenes look inside her studio:

Here is a fascinating look at inside the Fukushima power plants as filmed by journalist Tomohiko Suzuki with a voyeur spy camera watch. This video is Japanese only, but you can turn on Google's Beta translate captions by clicking on the red CC button. But the results are mostly generated Engrish nonsense. However despite that, this video shows a very interesting view of it all from inside the crippled plants:

Four cute young women clad in ghostly white robes prance around in a forest holding twigs: No, it's not an outtake from the classic 1973 pagan spookfest "The Wicker Man." Yes, it is the excellent video for the Merpeoples' spankingly sublime song "Sherman."
Singer/guitarist Charlotte and drummer Rico must be the star pupils in their art-school class, as Merpeoples — completed by keyboardist Sayaka and bassist Ikuko — made the video themselves.
"Sherman," boasting a hypnotic but spiky guitar lick, is the catchiest song you'll hear this year and deserves to be a staple hit on all indie dancefloors. Like most of Merpeoples' eponymous debut album — released Feb. 17 — "Sherman" is dreamy pop melded to post-punk guitar riffage, but the band aren't afraid to experiment, and on the track "Midara na Story" ("Dirty Story") Sayaka's ivory-tinkling conjures up an exotic buzz — like the music from a James Bond scene in a souk.
Shame they spelled "Sherman" wrong.
"You mean it's S-H-A-M-A-N?" asks Charlotte.
I'm afraid so. Sherman is an old U.S. tank. I didn't see a tank in the video. "Thanks, but on the CD it's in katakana, so it's OK," Charlotte says (she got her nickname 'cos a friend said that in profile she looks like Charlotte Gainsbourg).
