Scaling a mountain an hour and standing in the icy cascade for “training,” then the girls had to hike 40 minutes cold and wet when they were done. This is what Japanese like to called “gaining spirit” of both the mind and body which is thought to be good for the wrestling girls. The Japanese article says that the experience made, “bonding among the wrestlers firm” and that the girls, “rejoiced the effect of asceticism.”
