From Emotionless Japan "Tailly" Is Unveiled
In the past two years or so, we have seen some really creative, high-tech Japanese "communication" devices unveiled like Japan's New Communication w/ Yourself Invention, Japanese Cats Ears For "Communication" and Japanese Virtual Web Sex Technology which features the "PenisTron" and a "Communication Hole Rider" that allows users to anonymously experience virtual sex via the internet. It's all somewhat complicated but apparently we humans "can still have sex because it's just data." O.O
Now a company known as Kiluck, which handled the production of the “necomimi” or "cat's ears", brings us the all new excitement communication device known as "Tailly", the tail that wags when you get excited! This has to be seen to be believed:
From Kiluck's official kickstarter page we found the following description: "Tailly is a wearable wagging tail which reacts to the user’s heart rate. When you wear Tailly, you’ll radiate cuteness and happiness!"
Mmmmmkkkaaaayyy, so what about just smiling, laughing and actually saying your true feelings instead?
Nope.
Why?
Because Japan.
We expect this device to become very popular, very quickly in Japan when released. It will be available in various colors:

Flying Japanese Salarymen To The Rescue!
Japan is good at defying the law of gravity. You may recall the
Yowayowa Camera Woman aka Natsumi Hayashi who first started out with Japanese cat photos and then become the internet's most attractive levitating lady!
Now Rocket News 24 has reported on some Flying Japanese Salarymen To The Rescue!
Actually this is part of a new photo album entitled "Flying Has Changed My Life – Solaryman" by award-winnning photographer Yuki Aoyama on sale on December 12th for 1260 yen (US $15.33). About this latest collection, Aoyama said this:
After the Tohoku earthquake last year, I put my photography project on hold, but continued to upload photos of flying salarymen that I had already taken to Twitter and other Internet sites. My photos were reblogged and shared thousands of times and gained a lot of buzz all over the Internet. At the same time, Japan was facing hard times after the earthquake, its people at a standstill. I thought maybe if people saw my photos of energetic office workers, happily flying through the air, it would lift everyone’s spirits and inspire the people of Japan to persevere through a difficult time. To me, this was just one of thousands of photographing projects I’ve taken on, but to everyone else, it was a once in a lifetime opportunity that would turn into a lasting memory. With that in mind, the workers I photographed earnestly tried their best while having their picture taken. You can purchase this and other photo albums by Yuki Aoyama on his internet store. And be sure to see more of Aoyama's work on his official website. Arashiyama Bamboo Forest Kyoto, Japan
XXX Large Size
Here is a beautiful photo of the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest in Kyoto, Japan. Actually is located within an area called Sagano which is considered to be a part of Arashiyama. It is said that this grove is exceptionally attractive when there is a slight breeze and the tall bamboo trunks slowly sway back and forth in the springtime. The bamboo from this forest has been used to make many household products, like baskets, cups, boxes and mats at local workshops for hundreds of years.

mishmash*Julie Watai Release "Go Furby Go"
Yesterday mishmash*Julie Watai released the short version of their fourth single/music video entitled "Go Furby Go". The full length version will be available from October 26th, 2012 on iTunes, amazon.com, Google Play and other sites. Meanwhile please enjoy the abridged compositions on Youtube:

Japanese

As an early listener of the full length audio release, I have come to really appreciate this slow, mysterious tune in its expression of the lifestyle of a very busy model/singer and her music team. More than just an "an ode to the toy" this song features some interesting English, Spanish and Japanese lyrics in an abstract array describing some hasty preparations and inner feelings leading up to a fictional mishmash*Julie Watai TV debut. Also featured is Furby's hacked voice that babbles some cute and funny electronic phrases in English and "Furbish". Additionally, in the video we get to see Julie-san wearing some sexy lingerie by Neon Opera Tokyo. mishmash*Julie Watai is Toyoaki Mishima, Julie Watai and Masu Hiroshi Masuyama. Be sure to download this group's popular mp3 songs from Amazon, Ototoy and iTunes.

Japan's Mount Fuji Chaotic Eruption Warning
Via ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) October 13, 2012
After three centuries of peace, scientists are now predicting that Japan's Mount Fuji could soon have an eruption. Recently there have been other volcanic eruptions in other countries that previoiusly had magnitude nine earthquakes. Because of that, the chances of a Fuji flare up are increased since last year's 9.0 magnitude earthquake in Fukushima. Apparently the government of Japan is aware of this, but has done little in preparation for this potentially massive natural disaster. Below is a recent NTDTV news video on this current issue:

WTF KFC Japan Sells Chicken w/ Watermelon?
Via Japan Is Weird
At first look through Western eyes, this photo of a KFC Japan'a Colonel Sanders statue holding a watermelon slice appears to be somewhat racist. And, of course, there is no racism in Japan because there is only one race in Japan, right? Well, to be fair it is customary for Japanese to eat watermelon during the blazing heat of the summers. So whaddya think?

"Bonsai B" by Takanori Aiba
Here is an incredible miniature sculpture entitled "Bonsai B" by Takanori Aiba. This amazing artist/designer was born in 1953. He started his art career as a freelance maze illustrator in 1978. His maze drawings were regularly featured in the fashion magazine "Popeye" for 10 years. In 1981 he started his own company called “Graphics and Designing Inc.” His work includes some architectural design and conceptual art. Much of Aiba's work is inspired by the traditional Japanese art forms of bonsai (miniature trees) and suiseki (stone appreciation). See more of Aiba's incredible works here.

Japan's "Brain Disco" Kicks Out Boring DJs
Did you ever go to a club and leave soon because the DJ's music sucks? Well, you don't have to run away anymore. The same company that brought us the very popular magical thinking cap known as "Necomimi" Japanese Cats Ears For "Communication", neurowear has teamed up with Qosmo for an all new wacky brainwave scanning device known as the Brain Disco! What is a "Brain Disco"? Well, perhaps it is best understood in the manufacturer's own words:

John Lennon & George Harrison Japan 1966
Here is a rare photo of John Lennon and George Harrison tuning up their guitars backstage in Tokyo, Japan in 1966. From June 30 to July 2 of that year, the Beatles performed five concerts at the Nippon Budokan indoor arena in Tokyo. Of course, all the shows were sold out and the live television broadcasts captured an incredible 60% audience rating. These concerts were the first musical events ever held at the Budokan arena, which was originally dedicated for the competition of traditional martial arts. These landmark shows also inspired many young Japanese to start playing guitars and the biggest ever Japanese rock band revolution soon followed. That movement forever changed the direction of the Japanese popular music scene.
Perhaps the above photo was taken prior to the start of this show:

Japan's Forever Alone Virtual Girlfriend Dating
Via io9 July 8, 2012
Recently, Youtuber alsionesvx put together a Xtion PRO (a Kinect-like motion sensor) with a pair of video goggles and went out on a date with Japan's Forever Alone virtual singer and idol Hatsune Miku. At first, things went well and the happy couple enjoyed a short walk in the park with Miku-chan following him around and smiling. But then, later on, alsionesvx started "touching" his 3D girlfriend back at his place and we can see how she reacts:
Towards the end of the video, we can see how Miku-chan reacts to being hit over the head and also as a victim of sexual harassment! Check it out:

Japanese Nuke Protesters vs Japanese Police
XXX Large Size
Here is a truly incredible photo of some Japanese nuclear protesters standing right up against the Japanese police. Notice how some of the protesters are sharing their umbrellas with the cops! Amazing.
Also today the independent parliamentary committee known as the Fukushima Nuclear Accident Independent Investigation Commission (FNAIIC) released a highly critical report which concluded that the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear disaster was “man-made” and the result of “collusion” between Japan’s regulatory bodies and Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO). This report also "blames Japanese culture for the fundamental causes of the disaster" and comes at a time when it could further inflame the overall distrust of the government and significantly empower the anti-nuclear movement in Japan. On Sunday, the Ohi nuclear plant was switched back on against widespread anti-nuclear sentiment and protests that continue in Tokyo.

Did you ever want to play Janken (rock, paper, scissors) by yourself and lose everytime in order to deflate you ego, crush your self esteem and achieve today's highly sought after Forever Alone loser status? Well, the folks at the Ishikawa Oku Laboratory - University of Tokyo have just released the right robot for you! This is the Janken (rock-paper-scissors) Robot with 100% winning rate. This high tech fapping machine hand robot just has to be seen to be believed. Check it out:
This video is also a preview to the upcoming science fiction movie "Rock, Paper, Scissors":
Does the robot hand in the video bear a striking resemblance to the flying hands in the movie poster? Eerie. Actually, this robot has been developed for this reason:
In this research we develop a janken (rock-paper-scissors) robot with 100% winning rate as one example of human-machine cooperation systems. Human being plays one of rock, paper and scissors at the timing of one, two, three. According to the timing, the robot hand plays one of three kinds so as to beat the human being.Mmmmkkkaaaayyy!
