Japan's Horse Racing Dating Game
Via Moemania December 13, 2011
In an effort to get more Japanese herbivores interested in girls and gambling, the Japan Racing Association (JRA) just released it's free online horse racing dating game called My Sweet Umadonna - Me and You and our horse or My sweet ウマドンナ ~僕は君のウマ~. The title is a word play where UMA = "horse" and "Madonna"= "Madonna" or "The Virgin Mary" or "Dream Girl" or whatever. Anyway, it appears as though the objective of this game is to start a relationship with an anime character or fake girlfriend and then go to the horse races together.
Here is JRA's promo video for this new game:

The Defector is a new, currently in production documentary film about first hand stories of North Korean escapees. The award-winning producers Fathom Film Group has been funded by several Canadian broadcasters and others who have provided support. But the group still needs some $50,000.00 to complete the next phase of production. Through satellite images, smuggled footage and advanced 3D animation, the group is recreating a never seen before look at some real harrowing tales of life in the DPRK and in North Korea's prisons. Here is the trailer:

Forever Alone Karaoke in Tokyo Japan
In addition to Japan's New Communication w/ Yourself Invention and Japan's Hand(job) iPhone Case Forever Alone Model, last month a company called One Kara 「ウンカラ」just opened Japan's very first Forever Alone single-person Karaoke shop in Kanda:
One Kara charges one person 600 - 1,100 yen per hour plus a single headphone rental fee. There is also a "Night Pack" service that runs 2,600 yen from midnight to 5am. This is very similar to other internet cafes in Japan, many of which have shower facilities enabling people to actually live there full time. (@_@)

David Bowie as a Japanese Salaryman
Our venerable Japanese News correspondent just sent in this stunning new scoop of David Bowie as a Japanese Salaryman:
David Bowie and Masayoshi Sukita are now working together on this new photo book entitled "Speed of Life". This book can be pre-ordered here.
Talking of coffee tables, here are some glimpses of a glossy new book by Japanese photographer Masayoshi Sukita. Speed of Life (a snip at £360) shows Sylvian’s direct forebear and antecedent David Bowie posing in Kyoto during a holiday there in 1979 — the time he was hanging out with Sinologist David Kidd.
Bowie, after hinting that Japan was to be his new home, left for New York, explaining that Japan would make him “too Zen”, which would cause him to stop writing.
But perhaps the oddest and most interesting of Sukita’s images, revealed for the first time in the new book, are the studio shots where he portrays Bowie as a salaryman on his way to work, attempting to beat the clock

It was basically like I won the experience of sneaking into a city movie theatre... But the concert film was pretty cool. It wasn't truly live, it was more like it was filmed on the 29th in Japan and shown in the USA on the 29th. So it's almost like it was live right? It took place at technically the same time and day.
